Michael Eaton, Business Officer
Michael has been active in construction, management, and property
development since 1994. He previously owned a business remodeling
kitchens and baths. Currently Michael serves as the Business Officer
for Rubicon. He is experienced in project management, contract negotiations,
and business operations, as well as strategic and financial planning.
Michael also has over twelve years of experience in Emergency Medicine.
He worked as a flight paramedic and in both pre-hospital and emergency
department settings. In addition he served as a Clinical Educator
for Bloomington Hospital and as faculty for Indiana University School
of Medicine. He holds many certifications and received multiple
awards for his work. His extensive experience in the healthcare
industry is rooted in compassion and a great ability to work well
with others. He also knows how to make critical decisions quickly!
Michael’s undergraduate degree is in Business Management.
He also holds a Masters of Business Administration from Indiana
Wesleyan University.
Kevin R. Powell, Operations Officer
Kevin possesses a great deal of experience
in project management, operations, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic
planning. You can often find him onsite, making sure projects are
done right and right on time. He has previous experience
in property development, rentals, and construction.
Like Michael, Kevin has a background in healthcare, which is immediately
apparent in his ability to listen fully and pay attention to your
needs.
He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management and
a Masters of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Stephen M. Powell, Member
Stephen has extensive background throughout many construction-related
industries. Steve is an owner/member of Rubicon Construction LLC,
the parent company of Rubicon Custom Homes. He is also an owner/member
of AERCON Industries, LLC whose principal activity is the manufacture
of autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) building material.
Prior to 2002, Steve was Senior Vice-President for Indianapolis
Power & Light Company with responsibility for the construction,
operation and maintenance of electric generation facilities, strategic
planning, power marketing, fuel supply, and engineering. Throughout
his career, Steve has been a member of various professional organizations
including the Edison Electric Institute, the American Society for
Testing of Materials, the East Central Area Reliability Council
Executive Committee, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
He has also been appointed by the Secretary of Energy to serve as
a member of the National Coal Council.
Steve serves on the board of directors for Bosma Industries for
the Blind, Inc. He is a current member, and past chair, of the board
of directors for the Indiana Construction Roundtable. He has also
served as a member of the Indiana Nature Conservancy and the Crossroads
of America Boy Scout Council.
Steve is a 1972 graduate of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology
with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, and
has completed Harvard University’s Advanced Management Program.
He is a licensed engineer for the state of Indiana.
